Fum Fum Fum

After having emigrated here for over 20 yrs, I have never ever done a Black Friday or wasn't aware of its meaning till recently. I was kinda shocked of the horror stories on the news about people stampeded to death for a 'toy' they evetually have to pay for anyway just for a good deal. I never knew who had the good deals and what deals really are good as I hate shopping unless it is fabrics or crafts related......:):):)

Imagine my surprise when Joann notified me of their black friday deals with an extra 20% off everything.....ho ho ho.....and they open at 6am this morning....ho ho ho somemore.................
Scanning thru the sales flyer, I kept reminding myself and chanting, 'I don't need anymore fabrics'.......but.......they had threads and blades on sale too and I do need more threads and can always use more blades for later...............oh...what to do, what to do, they are 50% off plus additional 20%........a voice somewhere between my ears kept buzzing out to me............so........yes, this morning at the crack of dawn and in the cold showers of rain, we hit the store............and....I am very proud of myself that I didn't buy any fabric........yeah...........I now should have enough thread for a while till I need other colors which I didn't get today which will probably be soon.......... :):):)
.......ok enough of shopping........this song caught my attention while at a store some years ago. It's actually call 'Fum Fum Fum'.

I don't do Black Friday anymore. It isn't worth the traffic or headache or early hours. I decided this after standing in line with my best friend in the freezing cold for I don't know how long to buy a 69 dollar DVD player for my mother back when they cost 200. I had picked up said DVD player and wandered around the store looking at other deals while waiting for my friend to finish shopping for her family. By the time we got to the register the clerk rang up my player and was charging me full price. It took me another half an hour to convince her and the manager that this was indeed a 69 dollar DVD player.

I enjoy my sleep and sanity way too much to deal with chaos like that anymore.

Glad you found some great deals and that you didn't buy any more fabric.
