Thanksgiving Dinner Asian style

My family didn't practise this tradition at all nor in my culture or the country I grew up in.  I have only prepared the traditional thanksgiving meal maybe twice in my life and when we have lots of friends coming together.

This year we really wanted some alone time and have a low key celebration.  We chose to order to go from a recently opened Malaysian restaurant.  I am so glad we had it to go cos it was crowded and there was a line forming already when DH got there to pick it up.

This is what we had...........

Malaysian food

Stir fry Shrimp Okra w/sambal

Stir fry Salted fish Bean Sprout

Chai Kueh Teow-Stir Fry Flat Rice Noodle

Beef Rendang

Coconut Buttered Prawns
It was a delicious dinner and I am thankful we can get this foods here in Houston, Tx.  It sure help me not to miss home and the local foods.  Thank you Lord.

Aww, happy thanksgiving. i am glad you had some time to yourselves. I am sure it was good (I don't eat seafood, though).

Here's to a restful season in preparation for Christmas. Know your limits.
