First Paper Piecing

When I first learned about paper piecing thru watching a show on tv or youtube couple years ago, I said to myself.....'I will never do that, its too complicated and will take forever"....:):):)....fast forward couple years and some weeks ago, I finally made myself read up on the technique and sample a sew up. It was my first time using freezer paper and I thought that it was kinda neat that the shiny size actually sticks to your fabric like glue. Love that.....so practical......draw on on side, glue on the other........ So since it is for sample, I used my stash incase you are wondering about the different fabric prints. The applique flower on top of the hat........yeah that one.......well, thats to cover a boo boo.....'a mistake'.....I don't remember what I did but somehow there was a hole so hmmmm......

Funny thing is I thought the combination of different prints and colors came together pretty good..........:):):)....oh its suppose to be a boat....
