Below are two art quilts I am currently working on. I have two more to go. I had bought a series of four patterns at the quilt show couple years ago when I started quilting but when I got home and read the instructions and found out that it required paper piecing, I kinda chickened out cos I didn't know what that was or how to go about doing it and having to create your own bias binding was another stress factor there and I thought, wait, I had picked up quilting as a form of therapy and stress relief so I decided to set them aside until last year, I came upon them again and took them out but again they sat somewhere on the shelves until couple weeks ago, when I decided I had better get started on my Dear Jane blocks. So I forced myself to learn paper piecing as most Dear Jane are paper pieced. And I just happened to find these patterns again so.....tada

On the Design Wall
Been working on some art quilts and 'Dear Jane' blocks lately. Trying my hands on new techniques( paper piecing, bias binding) that I never thought I would be interested in or enjoy doing but to my surprise, I actually enjoy myself very much and time just flies when I am working on them. The paper piecing was actually really fun. I have to say I really enjoy it and was looking for more designs to piece and already thinking about a new quilt that I could make entirely of paper piecing.

I have not decided whether to add borders or how I will finish them. They are pretty small 15x15 so won't be hard to quilt. Actually looking forward to quilting them as I have not quilt for a few months. Holidays just seem to disrupt my routine and its always hard to get back to them.

I love them. It's like zentangling on fabric. If I knew how to do curves, I could do this. Glad to see some quilts up here.
