Still in the mood for paper piecing, I decided to dive into this quilting software EQ7 I had bought last year and was excited to find these christmas tree paper piecing pattern. I had bought a new wireless printer when I got my new laptop and it took me a while to load the wax paper to print out these patterns. I guess I could have trace them by hand but ....... the lazy in me said 'no'. Becos the wax paper are thinner, and the printer is a front load, they seem to get caught easily. But, praise the Lord, the printer and wax paper are finally friends and seems to be printing fine now.
As usual, I used my scraps (big & small) for these project. I tried not to cut into new fabrics as much as I had wanted to for the background fabrics. Also.....I had wanted to make a small 'pot with flower' coaster but couldn't find any pattern that small so I decided to try my hand at creating my own pattern. I think I will size the pot smaller next time.... :)

The trees came out nice. I tried paper piecing once. It's not my thing.
